Abstract:
[Abstract] Objective To analyse the feeding modes and nutritional status in infants aged 6 months to 3 years in Bao′an District of Shenzhen City. Methods 100 infants and young children aged aged 6 months to 3 years who received physical examination in Health Service Center of Liutang Community, Baoan District Central Hospital in Shenzhen City from January 2012 to December 2016 were selected as the research subjects, and were divided into breastfeeding group and mixed feeding group according to different feeding methods. The indexes of LAZ, WAZ and Kaup were measured. Results With the age increased, the percentage of breastfeeding was gradually decreased, while the percentage of mixed feeding was gradually increased. The indexes of LAZ and WAZ in the breast-fed infants at different ages were higher than those in the mixed-milk-fed infants, but there were no significant differences between the two groups(P>0.05). The number of normal nutritional status of the breastfeeding infants was 42(91.30%), which was significantly higher than that of the mixed-milk-fed infants(74.74%)(P<0.05). Conclusion Breastfeeding makes the infants to achieve an ideal nutritional status, and to promote the balance of infant nutrition.
