Abstract:
[Abstract] Objective To explore whether enteral nutrition emulsion could improve the nourishment and immunity in patients who suffered from acute stroke with swallow disorder. Methods Two hundred patients with acute stroke were randomly divided into study group and control group. There were 100 patients in each group. Both group were treated with regular nasal feeding. The patients in the study group were feeded with enteral nutrition emulsion on the basis of regular feeding. The arm muscle circumference, serum albumin hemoglobin were used for evaluating nourishment. The rate of hospital infection was used for evaluating the immunity. Results At the end of 21 days, the serum albumin and hemoglobin in the study group were higher than those in the control group (P<0. 01); but there were no difference in the arm muscle circumference between two groups (P>0.05).The rate of hospital infection in the study group was much lower than that in the control group ,12% vs 34% respectively (P<0. 01).Conclusion Enteral nutrition emulsion could improve the nourishment and immunity of patients with acute stroke, hence it promote the health of patients.
