Abstract: |
[Abstract] Objective To investigate the level of Th22 cells and IL-22 in peripheral blood of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) and their correlation with tumor markers. Methods Th22 cells in blood samples from 45 patients with HCC and 15 normal controls were detected by flow cytometry(FCM). IL-22 levels were detected by an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Statistical analysis of the relevance of Th22 cells, IL-22 levels and tumor markers including AFP, CA125, CA193, CA199, CEA was performed. Results The level of Th22 cells and IL-22 in peripheral blood of patients with primary hepatic carcinoma were significantly higher than that of normal controls(P<0.05), but no significant between male and female group. The percentage of Th22 cells in HCC patients had positive correlation with the level of IL-22. Th22 cells, IL-22 levels had no correlation with tumor markers including AFP, CA125, CA193, CA199, CEA(P>0.05).Conclusion The levels of Th22 cells and IL-22 expression in peripheral blood of HCC patients are high but have no correlation with tumor markers and their clinical significance in HCC still need large clinical sample analysis. |
