Abstract: |
[Abstract] Objective To explore the safety of two kinds of mild hypothermia in the treatment of acute severe brain injury. Methods Thirty patients were randomly divided into group A(treated with surface cooling) and group B(treated with endovascular hypothermia). The time to reach target cooling temperature, the incidence of 1 ℃ deviated from the target temperature hypotension rate, heart arrhythmia rate and electrolyte disorder rate and other complications were compared between the two groups. Results There were significant differences in the target cooling temperature time and the incidence of 1 ℃ deviated from the target temperature between the two groups(P<0.05). There were no significant differences in hypotension rate, heart arrhythmia rate, electrolyte disorder rate and other complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Endovascular cooling is a safe and efficient treatment method for quickly maintaining the target temperature with features of simplicity, stability and less complications. |
