基于芯片数据库Oncomine分析CTGF在多发性骨髓瘤中的表达和临床意义

摘要:
目的 研究CTGF基因(connective tissue growth factor)在多发性骨髓瘤(multiply myeloma,MM)及正常组织中的表达和临床意义。方法 检索Oncomine数据库中所有关于CTGF的数据集,对得到的数据资料进行挖掘做二次分析,对其在MM中的作用行Meta分析,采用Kaplan-Meier方法对患者生存资料进行分析。结果 Oncomine数据库中共收集了456项不同肿瘤中关于CTGF的研究,与正常组织相比,其表达差异具有统计学意义的共52项,其中CTGF表达增高的有28项,表达降低的有24项。共2项研究中的7个数据集包含379例样本涉及CTGF在MM癌组织与正常组织中的表达研究,与对照组相比,CTGF在癌组织中呈显著高表达(P<0.001);进一步分析发现,其表达量与预后并不存在相关性(P=0.380),即CTGF高表达或低表达的患者预后无显著差别。结论 CTGF在MM中呈显著高表达,可作为MM的一个潜在的标志物,然而其表达量与MM预后无相关性,并不能对预后进行指导。

Expression and prognosis of CTGF in multiply myeloma:Analysis based on the data-mining of ONCOMINE database

Abstract:
Objective To analyze the expression and clinical significance of CTGF gene in multiple myeloma and normal tissues. Methods Datasets about CTGF in Oncomine database were retrieved and the role of CTGF in multiple myeloma was analyzed. Results A total of 456 studies on the expression of CTGF in different tumors were collected from Oncomine database. Compared with normal tissues, there were 52 studies were significant differences in statistics, higher in 28 studies and lower with 24. Seven datasets in two studies included 379 samples involving the expression of CTGF in MM and normal tissues. Compared with the control group, the expression of CTGF in cancer tissues was significantly higher (P < 0.01); Further analysis showed that there was no correlation between CTGF expression and prognosis (P=0.380), no matter high or low expression of CTGF in MM patient. Conclusion CTGF is highly expressed in MM and can be used as a potential marker of MM, however, there was no correlation between the expression of CTGF and the prognosis of MM, so, it can not guide the prognosis of MM.
