Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effects of dietary intake and metabolic syndrome on hyperuricemia (HUA) in Jinan city and provide scientific guidance for the prevention and control of HUA. Methods 100 patients who were eligible for hyperuricemia and 100 cases of normal medical examination from the permanent residents of Jinan city examined in the Health Management Center of Shandong Provincial Hospital were randomly selected using a simple method as a case group and a control group for case-control study. Basic information, dietary habits, body measurements and biochemical indicators were collected. Results Multiple linear regression analysis showed that body mass index, total cholesterol, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein and creatinine levels affected blood uric acid level and there was a positive correlation. High density lipoprotein affected blood uric acid level and there was a negative correlation. Two-category logistic regression analysis showed that there is a correlation of smoking history, beer, vitamin C supplementation, animal internal organs, sweet drinks, coarse grains with blood uric acid levels. Conclusion Excessive body mass index, hypertension and hyperlipidemia are associated with hyperuricemia. Reducing alcohol consumption, eating less animal organs and other foods rich in purine, adding vitamin C, eating more coarse grains can prevent or reduce the occurrence of hyperuricemia.
