Abstract:
[Abstract] Objective To analyze the clinical effects of treating hemiparalysis complicated with hip fracture through minimally invasive internal fixation with intracutaneous hollow pressure screws. Methods A summary was made on the clinical effects of treating 35 patients with hemiplegic hip fracture through internal fixation with intracutaneous hollow pressure screws, of whem 24 complicated with fracture of neck of femur and 11 intertrochanteric fractures. A C-shape brachionus X-machine was used to close reduction and join the fracture again, then fix it internally with placing 2 or 3 intracutaneous hollow pressure screws intracutaneously. Meanwhile, the indexes are recorded on operative wound, hospitalization period, perioperation complication, early daily activities, early complication, death rate, etc. Results Operations of 35 patients had been successfully performed, with surgical incision of 1.5 to 2 cm individually, an average of 12 days in hospitalization, 5 patients with perioperation complication, 6 patients with early operatative complication, and 5 patients with follow-up death. Conclusion Good clinical results can be achieved in the treatment of hemiparalysis complicated with hip fracture using minimally invasive internal fixation, if proper indications are selected.
